Hi there! I’m Amber Green—an Innisfil resident, freelance journalist, and lifelong student of politics.
For the past several years, I’ve covered community events and public-interest stories for InnisfilToday and BradfordToday, helping residents stay informed about the issues shaping their communities. I created this site to help residents better understand the decisions being made at Town Hall.
Municipal government is often the level of government that affects us most directly, yet it receives the least attention. Decisions about roads, parks, development, taxes, transit, and community services shape our daily lives, but many residents don’t have the time to read lengthy reports or attend council meetings.
My goal is to translate complex policies and local issues into plain language so residents can stay informed, ask thoughtful questions, and participate more confidently in civic life.
I believe informed communities make better decisions. My approach is non-partisan, evidence-based, and rooted in a commitment to transparency, accountability, and respectful dialogue.
When I’m not writing, you’ll likely find me reading about public policy, working on one of my writing projects, or looking for ways to make complex systems easier for people to understand.
I’m glad you’re here.
